Overview
The Met Film School offer undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in directing, screenwriting, producing, postproduction, visual effects and cinematography, all validated by the University of West London. All of the Met Film School's lecturers and tutors are industry professionals, including BAFTA and Oscar nominees.
Students will have access to world class facilities at the world-famous Ealing Studios in West London. An off-site shooting block with multiple spaces for camera workshops and productions is provided, along with a camera room full of the latest technology and one of Ealing Studios' original sound stages. Students will be expected to work in groups and write, produce, direct and edit their own short films. Hands on teaching can be expected with experienced tutors.
The Met Film School has full membership to The International Association of Film and Television Schools and The National Film and Television School is an advisory partner on our undergraduate programmes.
Master classes with high profile industry professionals also take place. Past speakers at the school have included: Andy Serkis (Actor Producer, Author; The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit), Stephen Frears (Director: My Beautiful Laundrette, Dirty Pretty Things and The Queen), Sir Alan Parker CBE Director, Producer, Author and Actor The Commitments and Evita) and David Yates (Director of the Harry Potter franchise).
